A WordPress developer for London businesses who writes the theme, not just configures one
Plenty of London agencies assemble a page builder and a stack of plugins. I write the theme and the code your site needs, so it is quicker, easier to maintain and does not break at the next update.
WordPress development for sites that need to last
WordPress is flexible enough to be done badly in a hundred ways. The difference is in the decisions made at the start: what is custom, what is a plugin, and who is accountable when it breaks.
Custom themes
A theme written for your site, not a purchased one with your logo on it: lighter, faster and easier to extend.
WooCommerce shops
Stock, delivery, payments and checkout set up around how you really sell, and tested the way customers use it.
Speed and security
Image handling, caching, database tidy-up and update discipline, so the site stays quick and protected.
Rescue and rebuild
A broken, slow or badly built WordPress site, audited honestly and repaired or rebuilt, whichever is the better value.
The WordPress site most businesses end up with vs. the one built to last
The common approach
- A purchased theme, a page builder and thirty plugins that argue with each other
- A site that gets slower with every update
- Nobody who knows what is installed or why
- A developer who disappeared after launch
How I do it
- A theme written for your needs, with only the plugins that earn their place
- A site that is tested, updated and kept quick
- Documentation of what is installed and why
- One developer who stays on the site as long as you need
FAQ
Do you build in Elementor or other page builders?
I can work with them where the site already uses one. For new builds I prefer a lean custom theme, because it is faster and easier to maintain over years.
Can you fix a WordPress site someone else built?
Usually, yes. I start with an audit, tell you what is wrong and whether it is better to repair or rebuild, and give you a clear price for either.
Are you a freelancer or an agency?
A freelancer: one person who designs, builds and supports your site. That means no account managers, and the person you brief is the person writing the code.
Do you work with London clients in person?
I am based in Hertfordshire, near London. Most work is done by call and shared screen, and I can meet in person where it helps.
Tell me what's broken, or what you're starting.
One email or a fifteen-minute call. I read and reply to every one myself.
