Bright Star Inventory: A Property Inventory Business, Made Findable

Bright Star Inventory homepage showing London inventory reports for landlords and letting agents

The brief

Bright Star Inventory is an independent inventory business in north west London, established in 2010. It writes the reports that record the condition of a rental property before, during and after a tenancy, for landlords and letting agents across London and the Home Counties.

The website was a set of hand written pages with no search engine basics behind them: no per page titles or descriptions, no structured data, and a contact form that opened the visitor’s email program instead of sending an enquiry. A business whose work is being precise about detail needed a site that was precise about its own.

The build

Built in WordPress as a custom theme with no page builder and no SEO plugin, so every page loads only what it uses. The site has twelve published pages: a service overview, a page each for inventory reports, check-in reports, mid-term inspections and check-out reports, a tenancy deposit protection page, an about page, FAQs and a contact page.

Each service has its own page because each is a different question from a different visitor. A landlord about to let a flat is asking about an inventory. A letting agent ending a tenancy is asking about a check-out. Separate pages let each be found, and linked to, on its own terms.

The contact form now sends the enquiry itself, using Fluent Forms, so nothing depends on the visitor having an email app set up. The technical SEO is built into the theme: a title and description written for each page, canonical and social sharing tags, LocalBusiness structured data listing the services, address, opening hours and areas served, and FAQ markup on the questions that clients ask most.

The result

The site now says plainly what the business does, who it is for and where it works, and it hands each of those facts to search engines in a form they can read. A landlord, a letting agent or a tenant can find the service that matches their situation and send an enquiry in one step.

Measured: on 3 October 2026 the live homepage was tested with Google Lighthouse (desktop). Across two runs it scored 91 to 93 for performance, 94 for accessibility, 96 for best practices and 100 for SEO. Anyone can repeat the test and will see small differences from run to run.
